Music Director : Yuvan Shankar Raja
Vocals : Haricharan, Tanvi, Benny Dayal, Rahul Nambiar, Saindhavi, Karthik, Sunitha Saradhy, Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Lyrics : Na.Muthukumar
Produced by Thiruppathi Brothers Film Media (of N.Lingusamy) along with N. Subash C. Bose, and directed by Lingusamy, this clean action-cum-entertainer stars Karthi (of ‘Paruthiveeran’ fame) and Tamannah (the hottest heroine around now) as the lead pair along with Milind Soman (a handsome hulk of a model) and Sonia Deepti in pivotal roles. The two lovers Karthi and Tamannah set out on a journey from Bengaluru to Mumbai and the story is all about their experiences on the way. The movie has been shot in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is busy preparing for a huge concert tour to Dubai and Canada, is the music director for this movie. All the songs have been penned by Na.Muthukumar.

Thuli Thuli...
Vocals: Haricharan, Tanvi
A soft romantic solo with pleasant string accompaniment and sharp rhythms. Haricharan’s rendering is clean and crisp but his voice sounds slightly muffled. Tanvi is content with background humming. The second interlude without rhythms is soothing, could make a mark with smooth visuals.
Poongatre Poongatre...
Vocals: Benny Dayal
Another solo with a distinct ‘rock’ touch to it, it celebrates the entry of a lovely lady into the hero’s life. Dramatic guitars and keyboard sounds dominate in the interludes. Benny Dayal’s singing is spirited. Could hit the charts, even if the tune doesn’t seem original.
Adada Mazhaida...
Vocals: Rahul Nambiar, Saindhavi
The jaunty rhythms in this song make you want to go foot-tapping. The song itself seems to have a mild ‘Nalandhana’ hangover! Of the live drums used, one drum sound is so sharp – it could have been toned down a little. Good singing from both, especially Rahul. This song is supposed to have been shot at Athirapally waterfalls.
Suthudhe Suthudhe...
Vocals: Karthik, Sunitha Saradhy
The song of a young man too far gone in love! Karthik, bless his soul, adds a lot of verve and colour to this number with his very polished rendering. Sunitha’s role is confined to humming. Again the rhythm component is arresting. This song, with Sabeena Khan as the choreographer, was shot in an expensive set designed by art director Rajeevan and is supposed to be the highlight of the movie. Could be well liked for its different feel.
En Kadhal Solla...
Vocals: Yuvan Shankar Raja, Tanvi
This is a typical Yuvan number-full of pining and longing. Strong beats are prominent with strings and keyboard sounds taking a backseat. Tanvi’s role is minimal. Yuvan does strain in places and the phrase ‘poi solla theriyathadi’ has a funny inflection making you smile. His fans are sure to like this song.
Verdict:
Yuvan’s interesting experiments with rhythms continues in this album too. But at least three songs seem to have a little something of his earlier numbers. It may not create a flutter like ‘Sarvam’, but if the film is a neatly packed one, then some songs could have an extended ‘shelf life’.

Sachin And A.R.Rahman - Icons of our Lifetime
I am One Hundred Percent confident that the topic i gave to this thread is apt and cant be better..
I know there are many people here who doesnt want Sachin to be compared with anyone else.. People... I aint making any comparison here.. I am just wondering how the runs of Sachin and the music of Rahman has influenced myself and millions of others....
These two icons hav always influenced my life someway or the other... I go crazy about both of them.. There were even times when i had my mail id has ash_rahmanfan and password as tendulkar.. ( Even now password is related to sachin !) They are two inseparable names in my world...
What Sachin is doing withe bat Rahman is doing with his music.. There are quite a few similarities between them too...
--> Both of them become famous during the 90's.. Many people who become fan of Sachin during the 90's also become fans of Rahman.
--> How they stood out from others?
ARR: First to bring digital touch to Indian music and compose fusion that no one else dares to think off.
SRT: First to explore the first 15-over restriction, score centuries at bouncy, tough tracks like Perth
-->As time moved on:
ARR: Stopped producing blasting music, instead delivered Classical melodies like Taal, Swades, Bose, Meenaxi and Tehzeeb out of maturity.
SRT: Stopped going over the top to bowlers, instead played exquisite drives and late cuts and produced innings with a lot of maturity.
-->Character similarity:
ARR: Shy towards media and lets his keyboard answer his critics
SRT: Shy towards media and lets his bat answer his critics
-->International attention:
ARR: Admired by Andrew Lloyd Webber , Micheal jackson (who wore a t-shirt having Rahman’s photo on it) and many other international music reviewers who want him to compose for Hollywood films.
SRT: Adored by the man himself the “DON” Bradman and Mike Atherton(who compared Sachin to W.G.Grace) and a never ending list of Australian, English, Kiwi, WestIndian players.
-->Records:
ARR: 4 national awards, 17 filmfare awards, his music sold 210 million copiesaround the world (more than Britney and Madonna put together!!) and success rate of 80%+ album sales in Indian movies.
SRT: I need another ten pages to fill this up!!!
--> Popularity:
ARR: Has a huge fan following in India and in south he is a demi-god and captures the imagination of NRI’s throughout the world
SRT: According to a survey, he is the most popular man in the Country edging out the Prime Minister and Shah-Rukh-Khan. He is popular even in places like U.S where the game is not that popular (featured in an exclusive article in an American sports magazine)
--> Duplicates:
ARR: Has a duplicate called Harris Jeyaraj who not only copies ARR’s music and composing style but also his hairstyle and way of speaking in interviews.
SRT: Virendar Sehwag, a natural duplicate of sachin with looks and batting style similar to him
-->Where will they end up?:
ARR: Probably will put India into the world map of music and create records which upcoming Indian M.D’s can’t even dream of.
SRT: It would probably take an android or a special species of human being to erase his record in Cricket. Will always be remembered as the greatest ever batsman of modern era.
But at times i used to think, who is better than the other.. Is it Rahman for his heartmelting music or Sachin for his skills and passion he shows for our country..?
Whenever i had sad times i used to put my music player on and play some Rahman songs in it.. I still remember a day when i went to beach alone at noon....and sat in the hot sand listening to Newyork Nagaram song again again and AGAIN!! When Rahman won the oscars i thought " Ahh he has bought glory to our country.. And Sachin should win worldcup for us likewise.. "
But then a single innings of Sachin and the character which he shows would change my point of view!!! And the feeling he gives me while batting like he did in hyderabad is unexplainable.. I had my first sem exam the next day and havent touched three units.. Yet i threw everything away and sat in front of tv..smiling laughing, and crying in the end.. Believe me.. I got goosebumps atleast ten times while he was displaying his character and skill.. I thought after the match "This knock is equivalent to ten Oscars.. What else do we need from him" I got the same feeling when i heard Rahman singing Vande mataram.. Awesome!!
The same passion which Sachin shows in cricket, Rahman shows in music.. Both of them are not doing it for money.. They are doing it for the passion they have towards our country!!!
JAI HO!!!
‘Endhiran’ creates traffic jam in Chennai

The whole team of Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’ was in Rajalakshmi College, Madhuravoil from 10th of November to 12th.A risky stunt sequence choreographed by stunt master Peter Haynes was shot on a magnificent set. A scene in which robot Rajini’s car being burnt was also shot inside the college campus.
Director Shankar happened to see an over bridge that is under construction in Maduravoil ring road near Mugappair. That is the Chennai High Speed Circular Transportation Corridor, an urban road transit in the form of elevated concentric beltway planned for Chennai. This particular over bridge is being designed so well that it looks like some foreign location. So the director had planned to shoot the car chase of ‘Endhiran’ in this location.
The shoot of the car chasing is being canned there from yesterday. We hear that many of Superstar’s fans who reside in nearby areas got to know about this and crowded the shooting spot. Looks like the crowd created a traffic jam in the bypass road causing difficulties. Moreover many fans tried to take pictures of Rajinikanth with the cameras in their cell phones. The private security guards who were there tried to stop it, but in vain.
The shoot will go on there for few more days and the next schedule is planned in the beautiful East Coast Road.
What’s cooking with Sura?

The shoot of ‘Sura’ is going on in full swing at present. After a chill talky portion in Alleppey, Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay was working hard for some stunt sequences in Uppaneri Bridge near Marakkanam Salt Lake. After that the film’s crew landed in Chennai and was shooting in Prasad Studio. Last week the whole team was in AVM Studio for canning some enjoyable stuff. Yup, the songs!Vijay danced around his heroine Tamannah for the first time, on a magnificent set erected by art director Vijay Murugan. The song is said to be perky and took almost a week to wrap it up.
Grapevine is abuzz that Dev Gill, the villain of Telugu blockbuster ‘Magadheera’ who is doing Vijay’s villain ‘Sura’ is very busy in Telugu cinema. Hence, the unit of ‘Sura’ is now shooting in Hyderabad.
