Type 2 diabetes may attack people of any age.

Posted Image

Increase in thirst may be the initial symptom

Posted Image

Headache, blurred vision, fatigue may appear in the next stages.

Posted Image

Wounds that take time to heal, frequent fungal infections may become apparent.

Posted Image

Sedentary life style, overweight, smoking and unhealthy diet habits increase the risk.

Posted Image

Having gestational diabetes during pregnancy makes you more prone to get it.

Posted Image

In healthy individuals insulin coverts glucose into glycogen for storage in the liver.

Posted Image

In type 2 diabetes, insulin dependent cells can't take up insulin since they become insulin resistant.

Posted Image

Elevated fasting Blood Sugar level gives away your impaired glycemic control.

Posted Image

First of all, change your food habits with high inclusion of vegetables, cutting off all the fatty and sugary meals.

Posted Image

Routine exercise may help to achieve a certain glycemic control.

Posted Image

Relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation may assist in the control.

Posted Image

Still, you require some pills to stimulate the pancrease to produce more insulin.

Posted Image

If beta cell dysfunction is detected in the pancrease, you may also need to be on the insulin injection.

Posted Image

Certain other injections than insulin Ex-exenatide are now available for further treatment.

Posted Image

You may also check your blood glucose level for safety needs.

Posted Image

Diabetes may cause blood clots and thereby atherosclerosis leading to a heart attack- Macro-vascular disorder

Posted Image

The longer you have diabetes, higher the chances for the chronic kidney failure.

Posted Image

Diabetic retinopathy affecting eyes is another complication.

Posted Image

Long standing cases give rise to pins and needles, numbness and pain in the legs and hands.

Posted Image

When ulcers become non-healing in the extremities , surgeons are likely to go for amputation.

Nope. Increased drinking in water is quite good for the body. The symptom is that you have exceptional thirst even though you are drinking a lot of water.

Champ, onnum payapada venam.

Drinking adequate water is very important to maintain the seemingly steady bowel habits. You obviously would like to drink sufficient water to appease the thirst.

But, if you develop excessive thirst in the presence of adequate water, the initial stages of dibetes must strike your mind.

If you have an additional familial predisposition, the risk becomes more accentuated. You may need to get yourself freed from your suspicion on the first place.

You are welcome cmhoneyz.

Thank you Vascu.

You are absolutely right. Fluid overload causes a lot of complications. The most detrimental of those is the acute kidney( renal) deterioration due to the elevated glomerular filtration.

So, we must drink water adequately, within limits of our body's demands.
