Heath Ledger is going to star in the movie The Dark Knight. Ledger is going to play the role of a derisive and murderous villain the Joker, immortalized by Jack Nicholson in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman. Nolan’s brother, Jonathan will be writing the script from a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan. The movie is expected to be released in 2007.
