i have heard many people saying that firefox is the best,i tried it sometime..but never took it serious..

but now i am using only firefox..wow..amazing add on features,great themes..superb facilities..such as

1.you can block ads,pop ups ...softwares are not more than 100-500kb

2.there is a add on feature called YOONO,that is when u visit a website,on top it will display other alternate sites..

3.Another one called Coolris..where u cud just move u r mouse on a link and see the preview of the webpage..without clicking it..



go for firefox now..its my strong recommendation..amazing soft..

till now i have not had any problem with firefox..could u tell me any bad things abt firefox..what are its disadvantages?

i ahve been using firefox for very long time, its very good, but somethings it does not like .. some microsoft application does not run well, at home i use firefox only, but at work i use IE as we are totally microsoft based

from some days, i start working on firefox, in IE i can't uploads more files because of some problem (don't know which) but now i uploads perfectly in Mozilia, if it continue like that, then one word that firefox rock

been using last 6 months .much better than even IE 7 much better security

yes..another factor thats better in firefox when compared with IE is the security issue...IE is very suspectable to attacks..

IE have been sleeping for a long while when we talk about security, but IE 7 has good security inbuild

Mozilla depends on IE only when it comes to windows based Plugins. I always use firefox, it has many tools and plugin as Pavan said.

especially if you surf loads of porn like pavan does

no way....you go to some sites to download movies,go to warez sites and all those stupid pop ups..they just put viruses in to your sys..

by the way ambi..thanks for sharing your experience..that if u go to porn site,you will have security problems...

I am not saying this to belittle Firefox/Firefox's security.

Anything that is more popular will tend to get hacked/attacked more often. I am not sure of the statistics but I still think IE is the most widely used browser. Some organizations do not approve the use of any other browser but IE. So as Mozilla gets more popular it could be more susceptible to attacks. Hope that does not happen.

well rakesh reason for many organizations not using firefox can be
1) it cannot get updated like IE .. i mean cannot be controlled from administrator level
2) it cannot run some windows application
3) firefox u can get a whole lot of plugins and these must also get updated... users dont know all these.. they will just download and use Firefox without worring about updating it and always check if its vunerable..
IE u can control it from simple Windows update

i used firefox for sometime and i liked it very much until i knew abt this modding the firefox to work like a rocket

after i did that my pages jus take a few seconds to open...watever maybe the site be...it sends max requests to them and gets it as soon as possible

but now i use only ie6 in my new comp and in old i use firefox

Hey a plain firefox is like a vanila ice cream... U need to add ur imagination and some stuff to make ur firefox do wat u say... Here are some damn good tools tat will make u lazy that you wont like to use any ther browser...

Note : they are just given some numbering .. they aint ranks...

These are some of the extensions in my fox.. I have around 47 extensions lol...

1.Adbloc Plus - A must Have... blocks ads.. pics in siggy's if u want etc...

2.smooth weel - Wil give ur fox a smooth scroll feel... instead of a page by page scroll..

3.Image zoom - Very handy.. jus right click to zzoom a pic in the page

4.Customize google- A must have.. Blocks all google ads by adsense, And u can customize google a lot..

5. IE tab- For the Ie lover .. who wishes to use ie in fox..

6.PDF download- Allows a user to download a pdf document or view it in fox or view it as html..

7.allow right click- This is for some sites loaded with pics which sometimes block right click.. And as the name says this extension overrides it..

8.Flash Got - I don need to explain this.. this is a mandatory one for fox..

9.Quick Java- with just one click u can disable /enable java scripts in the page

10. STumble -This ones in bold cause this is my favourite extension... Just install it and u will know the rest..

11.Grease monkey - I forgot y installed this for.. but many use this..

12. FEBE- Usefull for makin exact backup of the firefox u usin.. incase u r goin in for some reinstall or format... just make a back up usin this extensio.. install new fox and install this extension and restore the backup.. VOILA ur old fox is back with all tweaks..

13.Iamge toolbar - It aint a toolbar actually... BUT DAMN MUST ! IF u just point at a image it will show a save icon and click it to save tat image

14.paste and go- Just press paste n go and the address u copied will be opened..


15.AUTO COPY - A MUST ... Just select and the selected text will be copied..

16.Flashblock - AWesome Awesome AWesome tats all... simply blocks all flash's in websites... u can click them if u want to play them...

17.FAsterfox- Supposed to make my fox faster... I donno abt tat...

hehe even if u haev all these exentisions some asp.net sites allow only IE ..

Grease monkey is for cookie modifcation

oh... so tats y many extensions or scripts depend on it...
