is it fair that u pay 80 rupees for a CD in India cost 80 kroners in Denmark ( aprox 800 rupees) and that too without VAT.. fi with VAT it will cost 119. kroner
how much is a price for a CD at ur place and how ofteh do u buy ?

here...as u said cd is priced at Rs 80-100..there r some exceptions..such as Guru CD was priced at Rs165

i buy all rahman cds..and sometime couple of popular cds just to upload for uyirvani..

i was wondering why dont u guys start a legal indian CD store where u upload stuff and allow people to download ORIGINAL Cdies.
I belive their is a lot of people who is willing to buy the cdies legally.

When u rip a CD and make a copy of it then it becomes illegal as u r makin' a copy of a legal cd. No matter wat u cannot legalise a written CD in that fashion as itz a copy. Now Saregama(HMV) did somethin' online that u could customize ur cds and thingz like that but then uploadin' somethin' will lead to a lot of piracy as not everybody who pays and downloadz would keep it with 'em .... they would try to share it with otherz and also az it iz therez so much of piracy ...

The other point is the royalty for the copyrights, and thatz why u pay a lot more than watz in India. Even here i pay a lot in $$ for Cds but thatz da way it works

It costs around 60 riyals here ( around 650 rupees)..... I buy anywhere around 20-30 a month.

i buy occasionally at ayngaran here in uk for 3-5 pounds.

but Most of the times i break into shops and steal them at night

be frank, I support Chinese market. , why should I buy original while getting same quality and very low price. The prices here 60 to 100 AED * 12.5 rupees. Same Chinese CD get easily 10 to 20 AED only. Please tell me which one is best?

i was buying frm pondicherry ...there its only rs.20 and a movie dvd itself is only 25 or 30 rupees
its ripped frm ayngaran

so i go there and buy for some 1000 rs. full of dvds and cds
im chennai its waste to buy
not worth it..i spend so much in chennai only for arr music cds which i buy frm landmark or so

and dhil as uyirvanizbot said..its really tuf to start a store here and too much competition...and risky and so on...better to stay calm and buy it frm pondy

dont see everything from a bad angel, if u wish and try hard, u can do it. definatly if we can sell legal cdies over net for indian price, more people will buy, its just a question of making an agreement with landmark and ayn and other companies...
