I feel water has got a great great chance to win Oscars..due to various reasons...Let the countdown begins..
But i have not seen other nominated films in the foreign film category...Any1 got idea on those???

I havent seen that movie. if its get that its gr8, they stupid hollywood always avoids us. let we see this time. hope everything will be good.

water is an indian movie...its in hindi only...but its official entry from canada...the movie still hasnt released in india..

MASTAN, why wouldn't they avoid indian movies when most of the time stories and scenes are copied from western and other countries.there is no originality in indian movies anymore other than 5 songs in a movie.i was felt so mad when i saw the english movie 'the rock' was made in to an hindi movie years back then fight club.what a load of CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or They might be avoiding you for the obvious reasons that you make shitty movies. There hasn't been a single movie in the Indian Cinema History that deserves to win the OSCAR.

No, Deepa Mehta's film Water lost out to the German film "The Lives Of Others" at the 79th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles in the Best Foreign Film category.
Martin Scorsese gets his first oscar for the movie 'The Departed'
Forest Whitaker gets best actor award for his portrayal of Idi Amin in 'The Last King of Scotland'.
Helen Mirren gets best actress award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in 'The Queen'.

sad that water didnt win.....To be honest i didnt find anything great in laagan to be the oscar material...yes it was a great movie..no doubt on that...
but i feel...RDB was a class apart...it didnt even get nominate...
