This is full of surprise.

The first one is the total of last 25 ODI innings of the Indian great Sachin.

The second one is of Mr. Bong (according to a famous ex-Indian cricketer).


Let's go through some other figures.

The total of the first row (Sachin's last 18 test innings) - 869 and that of second row (Ganguly's) - 774.
The stats include Sachin's 248 against "Giants" Bangladesh and Ganguly's 101 against "novices" Zimbabwe.


If we take these two innings out then we have 621 and 673 respectively. The first one is Sachin's score, the second one of the worthless Bong.


If performance and not star system is going to be the key for inclusion in the Indian team, well then figures don't lie and they say it all. Note that, I am not saying Ganguly is a better player than Sachin but both are at the same level if their latest performances are to be considered. So when some Ganguly haters start barking that Ganguly hasn't been performing of late, the facts say, so hasn't Sachin. Shouldn't be the parameters for selection to the Indian team be the same for all the players or when Sachin's turn comes past performances and huge experience are the criteria. Then we should start calling back Gavaskar, Shastri and the likes. Of late whenever India needed Sachin to perform under pressure he almost always failed. The latest being the series against SA.


And proving himself in domestic cricket,? when has Sachin last played in domestic cricket? Ganguly has to score runs in domestic cricket to prove that he is in form after recovering from injury but Sachin is included in the team automatically after a long absence due to tennis elbow.
Again double standards and again no one asks questions!
So all you true cricket lovers think twice before you say something, because you can say anything? but the figures will always tell the truth.

i disagree with these comments ... as i always tell this shows only 1 side of the coin ... u need to take many things into consideration ... ganguly has lost respect frm his team mates courtesy of tat spat btn him n chapell

lets look at some other facts .... in the past 1 yr india lost soo many matches with alarming regularity ... but after ganguly was dropped n sachin made an entry .. look at the stats ... they speak for themselves ... 8 wins in 11 matches ... sachin gives 100% in everything he does .. be it bowling battin or fielding but the same cannot b said abt ganguly ...

n also the main pt sachin commands respect frm his team mates whereas ganguly lost respect bcoz of the spat ...

finally i wud like to say tat dont jus look at one side of the coin thr r many things tat go into the selection process ... any more doubts??

1.Ganguly has not been performing for past almost 3 years.is this same case with sachin?no way...

2.Ganguly doesnt gets complete respect from team members,press,coach,each and every1 associated with Indian cricket team and also the media

Its not same with sachin,he is an idol,and commands high respect ,let it be the adminsitration or press or within the team

3.ganguly is so intteligent that he will reveal all thats happening in dressing room like the famous chappel conterversy to Press

Sachin is a true proffessional and behaves like professional..

4.Not batting alone matters...Come to Fielding Department..look at some of wonderfull match winning catches taken by sachin,like one of inzamam's in last indo pak series.Wake up dude...catches win matches

5.Ganguly is regular to practice sessions and other workouts that he reaches always in time..bull shit..comon..we see so many reports in media,that ganguly skips due to this,due to that..


6.If Sachin walks out to bat in kolkata or mumbai or chennai the cheer he gets is always huge and loud.whereas sourav is mostly welcomed only with boos..


got many...but these r enough to prove that making comparison between sachin and gaguly is not only foolish but also idiotic.

here's my verdict

sachin has proven many a times and in his last comeback too after the tennis elbow operation

even ganguly had a chanceto come back and even as a captain takin dravid out - but he jus got lesss than 100 runs in 4 matches

u all know that ganguly was forcin the selectors for his captain position thru dalmiya

did sachin do it when he was not performing well as a captain
the only thing he did was get out of that captaincy position and play his normal cricket

even now ganguly is tryin but he's not able to- as he has lost his big supporter dalmiya from the post


note that sachin and ganguly hasn't been opening together for a long time since
and when u c both opening with different pairs
who gets the craze of the crowd
its sachin(whomsoever he comes out with)

even when ganguly comes out with sewag or anyother better player -u don c the gud cricket fans goin gaga around the dadha

i feel its high time for ganguly to retire fro international cricket when he has a reasonable amount of fans
