Movie Info: Ustad Hotel (Malayalam: ഉസ്താദ് ഹോട്ടല്) is a 2012 Indian drama film written by Anjali Menon and directed by Anwar Rasheed. It stars Dulquer Salmaan, Thilakan, Siddique in the lead roles while Nithya Menen, Mamukkoya and Lena Abhilash play prominent supporting roles.
The film deals with the life of young Faizal (known as Faizi) who studies a chef's course in Switzerland against his rich father's wishes. As the relation between father and son brakes, Faizi is forced to work as a cook in a restaurant ran by his grandfather Karim at Kozhikkode. A strong bond develops between Karim, an old Sufi Muslim, and his educated grandson who later decides to permanently work in the restaurant. Ustad Hotel is produced by Listin Stephen and is distributed by Central Pictures.
